This Week In Doctor Who Spinoffs - March 27, 2010

I am working on a redesign of TWIDW, but it is not ready yet. This is the final edition of "spinoffs". Next week, this section will be home to the K9 listings and the relaunch of the podcasts section - aka "TWIDW - Unlicensed". (Yes, the podcast section is coming back, Tony Schapansky, er, I mean Steven Gallichan, er, you get the idea). Next week the Sarah Jane listings will move in with the PBS section to balance the column sizes - still working on a new name for that section. The traditional This Week In Doctor Who section should stay largely unchanged.
 
Today, the K9 and Sarah Jane schedules.

K9 is having his premiere in Australia and the UK this coming Saturday 3 April. Due to the time of the day, we better count this as the premiere week, because K9 may have already aired before next week's column is out.

In Australia, kids channel Nickelodeon is doing a marathon of all 3 series of the Sarah Jane Adventures over Easter Weekend. Series 1 (starting with Invasion Of The Bane) begins at 10AM on Saturday 3 April, immediately after the premiere of the K-9 series on TEN.

Note - the main TV listings are not giving any episode information on the K-9 series. And Disney XD UK is not allowing me access to their site. Now, if anyone in the UK could go to http://disney.go.com/disneyxd/uk and find out if K-9 will air the same episode on Saturday and Sunday or air different episodes on the two days. It makes a difference in the run for 1 episode a week versus two. Note - 3 April is also the premiere date for the new Doctor Who episodes in the UK.
